Lost Highway
a photographic hymn to New Jersey
“There’s an opera out on the turnpike.”
Bruce Springsteen
I have now lived in New Jersey for twenty years; enough time to know the place without losing perspective. The subject matter that I am now drawn to is this US state and all its mysteries. I seek out the mundane, aging places that people pass by every day without really seeing, for it is in these resilient relics that the true character of our state resides. I aim to illuminate the strength & beauty of these places with my camera.
As Joseph Longino writes in his introduction to Lost Highway, "Endy is an aesthetic archeologist who focuses on the particular, yet emblematic appeal of the artifact rather than its makers."
Enjoy your journey on the Lost Highway.
